Support for text-gradients has increased significantly since I last checked at Christmas (The 10% using IE8, IE9 and Opera Mobile can suck it) so I'm happy using smooth gradients instead now. Technically speaking that would also work better in horizontal mode too.

Fabbbbb so if it's possible then I think whatever colour combination we go with (personally I'd like orange and blue for Hx colours) should be done running down so like
