I also read that Farage's office were furious this story got out so we have no idea.

No he didn't. It seems the media got hold of it and made it into something.

Read the quote above I pulled out, you didn't even read the article.

He may not have wanted the story out, but he did say that the police had checked the car and concluded that it was sabotage, which we know now to be completely untrue. Of course his people are furious that the story got out, it shows that he's a liar

He was reported to have said that he was told four bolts being loose was unheard of and meant someone had tampered with it.

And these latest claims are coming from a French newspaper and in turn by the Daily Mail. I'll take Farage's word for it for now.

"The French police and mechanics looked at it"

"The French police looked at it and said that sometimes nuts on one wheel can come a bit loose – but not on all four"

Those two are direct quotes from his mouth, and then the report:

"When the police arrived at the scene, they told him that the nuts on all of the wheels had been deliberately unscrewed"

These things now appear to not be true at all

Hahahahahaha! So Farage isn't the infallible saint Dan proclaims him to be? I'm sceptical of anything that comes out of that party or from its members after they were caught vandalising their own candidates signs during the election to gather a bit of support.

You're quoting the paper there, not Farage. He didn't say that the Police had said it was an attempt on his life.

Politicians like Farage need protection from the Police because of frequent death threats.

Pim Fortuyn was murdered, Jorg Haider in a 'car crash' and Geert Wilders requires round the clock security because he criticised a certain religion.
