8Freak8 = Banned!!

IF that was the reason for his ban:

The problem with the net is you cant have a tone to what you say...
So if someone says:

I'd like to meet you in real life

And Habbo see it come up on the chat logs... they have to act, they don't know its a joke. They don't know the individual Freak is saying it to.

Habbo Staff have a habit of monitoring popular rooms with popular people in. Like for instance when I was banned for swearing in the Habbox Theatre.

8Freak8 will have to grovel to get the account back, because no matter what he says he still said "Id like to meet you in real life"
If he says he meant it in a joke way, he can't actually prove it unfortunately.

However I'm not too sure that's what he was banned for. However, I don't think this is an example of MODs being crap. I think it's an example of Mods doing what they have to do, and if they have made the wrong decision, office staff will sort it out for Freak :)

8Freak8 runs a popular non-official fansite and has a good reputation. Player Support will probably unban him if he was beeing sarcastic or w/e.

I would bet that alot of ppl would donate.

I don't think this will affect Habbox's chances of being official so don't worry about that.

I've emailed them and will wait to find out what the reason is, then I'll have to find some way of explaining. Hopefully they'll realise that I wasn't being serious, and I'll be able to explain why I said that to pleke.

Although we don't know if it was because of pleke yet, it could be something else.

He got banned for saracastically asking someone for a meet up? God, nearly as bad as the time I said I was going to hack Habbo and steal their honey "/ I got banned for that until I told Player Support where to locate their common sense turn on button "/

I hope Habbox doesn't become Official, most of the fun would leave and everything will be more serious than it already is "/

I 100% agree with Marc, Habbo are really gonna ban 8freak8 with no reason, pure intention cause they watch him everyday? :s C'mon he's just the Habbox Manager? I think most of us know 8freak8 didn't mean it but the ban does have reasoning behind it, not because "Habbox is better than Habbo itself."

Getting banned is the most annoying thing cause they always use the ban such as 'broken t/c' 'scamming' etc but why can't they show you proof? or the reason? it's just wouldn't you like to know why you've been banned?

On runescape when your banned they show you proof, chat logs, screenshots.

Habbo just ban and dont even explain why you've been banned.

Like someone said earlier, if they read that in a chat log there is nothing there to indicate sarcasm or a joke. They are probably very cautious about people meeting up in real because of paedophiles etc, it's about someones personal safety - if it went ahead and then turned wrong and was in the papers, imagine the effect on sulake. And really, saying you didn't mean it doesn't really help. It's the effect that matters. Not the intention.
