Sell / Buy Runescape Accounts

This isn't runescape.com, so who cares.

We are not an rs fansite so we dont have to abide by the rules they set for their players. Its up to you (the players) to follow the rules.

If you get caught by Runescape, then yeah. You'll probably get banned. But I don't know when this rule on Habbox began allowing people to sell accounts.

Agreed with what Sierk said.

what do you have to gain through selling a habbo account, at least with runescape you have levels etc. but with habbo, all you have is a name

I think that being HABBOx it deffinately will never allow the trading of Habbo accounts but will allow Runscape accounts as long as it isn't for Habbo items.

Its ok for them to allow this but its not their fault if you get scammed.

Simple. Dont use it.

Why have a runescape forum if its just gonna all be dedicated to habbo.

It's not about how good the game is and what the differences are with the accounts its just the principal of why Habbox has decided to brake a rule that Jagex seems is important

Now when people are buying higher level accounts they are cheating through the game by braking a serious rule

You dont seem to have read sirek1's post.

Habbox are a Habbo fansite. If there was some incident where Jagex asked Habbox to cease doing this im sure they would. But they are not actually offrering accounts to their members they are merely letting members exchange accounts which they would probibly otherwise do via PM.

It's a Habbo fansite, not Runescape. They want to follow the Habbo way, but not the Runescape rules. Simple as.

I think that letting us buy/sell Runescape accounts was a terrible idea, as I said to Sierk, it's just going to increase the amount of scamming on the forum.


Because it gives you an unfair advantage on everyone else.

Well then he is a hypocrit, he wants himself to be allowed to sell accoutns but he doesnt agree that other people should be able to sell theirs?

If my forum was about people scamming the government, i wouldn't make a rule saying you can't scam the government but go scam whoever else you like on the forum. If you show respect to Habbo then show some respect to the owner of RuneScape and don't be immature kids. Change the rules now. Or you will prove how childish and immature you really are.

We still don't allow scamming, as far as I know it's possible to trade RuneScape accounts without scamming each other?
In general I am of the opinion that just because something can be used in a wrong way, it doesn't mean it should be automatically forbidden. That is what I would call childish, because it means you treat people like little kids that are not capable of deciding for themself what is safe and what is not, and you just forbit it all together. I think it's better and more respectful to treat our members as sensible people, who are capable of deciding for themself if a trade is worth the risk or not.

The same applies for runescape accounts. You can easily get your old account back by supplying enough evidence that the account used to be yours. You only have to tell them your old passwords and old recovery questions (if you had them) and some other information that proves the account was yours and they'll give you the new password or lock the account. I know a few people who have already been scammed.

But I agree with the last bit, people who trade their accounts should be aware of the risks, I've made a stickied thread to warn them too. So if they get scammed it's their own fault.
It's the same with trading runescape for habbo. :)
