I don't think it will be very different, I'd imagine download speed would be much faster and there will be more sites but other than that not a lot of differece, especially not human-interfacing like a few people suggested: that would be far beyond any technology we have or will have for at least a few centuries.
Oh i forgot to mention, i bet nintendo release a fully internet based console, they seem to be the *risk takers* of the big named, decent consoles.. Xbox etc are not internet based, they are internet capable, im talking like the wii, except full body things, stuff for your legs/arms and head..

In the 20 years time I think one of these will happen:
a) Someone will create a virus which will crash the whole internet, and as no one in the world controls the internet anymore, it will take years to fix.
or
b) Terminator - All machines will kill us.
a virus that could crash the whole internet? Impossible, there are hundreds of different OS's that are used within the internet, it would have to be virii (multiple virus's)

Realistically, the internet will head more into web-based applications. Perhaps in 20 years no files, folders or operating systems will be stored on our local machines, but instead be kept on data servers on the internet. Everything you would want to do would have to go through the internet (word processing, viewing your pictures etc.) and computers would be useless without it.
Larger companies will try to censor the internet and view a user's private files, thus creating a worldwide internet boycott.
i think there will be a new invention..
maybe like a virtual player thing? so instead of playing games with a mouse u can move it by thinking it?

20 Years ago, Computer's were not the main source of information, etc. So people obviously thought another appliance would become better in the future. But it obviously never because of the introduction of the Internet.
Atm the Internet seems like it will be popular forever, but who knows. In 20 years time a new type of communication might be created taking over the Internet and making it less powerful.
