How many games have you been to in, let's say, the last 5 years.

In the last five years, 181 set to be 182 on Sunday. :)
I've been to 28 matches in the last 6 years.
I went to my first match when I was 8-9.
Your like a what 2-3 hours away?
I have to wake up at 4-5am, get a plane to London, get a bus journey, stay at hotel for a while and then see the match.
I support a team that is a two minute walk from my house.
Im no glory hunter =]
Glory hunters suck, because if their team win they brag even though they know nothing about football and only support their club because they obviously saw them win a trophy. I don't think you can call someone a glory hunter if they don't live near their location though, because I'm a die-hard Arsenal fan and I live a good hour and a bit away from the Emirates. I still go to games quite often though, and away games when I can, and have supported them for as long as I remember, BEFORE we won the Premiership for the first time.
I remember one United glory hunter in my school, who I beat 11-1 on a quiz about United. One of the questions was:
"Who is the manager of Man Utd?"
And his answer was Sven Gorran Eriksson. Now THERE'S a glory hunter. The only one he got right was "What's Old Trafford?". He couldn't even name 5 first team players.
I can sit here now and honestly say I've never been to an Arsenal match because I'm not of a high SES and cannot afford the travel - nor am I old enough as none of my family like football, immediate family.
I'm also a Doncaster Rovers fan, I've started to go to matches now, my mate has convinced me too even though the ticket prices are too high. I'm going today in fact, and Leeds next week.
There are no such people as glory hunters. Mainly because people support a team because of either 3 factors - they like them, they're local, they're good. Either one of them factors are reasonable to support a team. Why do Manchester United have such a big fan base? Because they're good.
I support Northampton Town because im from there.
I also support Manchester United in a way, i was a big fan WAY BACK in the years when they werent as popular as they are these days.
But i got fed up, there were too many glory boys coming into the equation.
Then at the Manchester Derby at Eastlands ( City's ground ), when City won, i celebrated, as it felt good in a way, because it would have shut up the glory boys.
Now im starting to like Man City, as its a team which has came out of nowhere, and is starting to achieve great things which the club is owed.
I've been a Northampton Town supporter since i was 9, and have had a Season Ticket for about 3 Years now, and go to most Away games aswell. And i LOVE it, i'd rather watch my team, instead of watching the "BIG BOYS".
I admire all Loyal Supporters.
A glory hunter, in my opinions is someone who supports a team because they win things.
i grew up watching everton, i kind of chose to be one too, and when i lived in australia i use to stay up until 2am just to watch the games. i'm no glory hunter! :)
been watching everton all my life, once a blue always a blue! :)
also; i wouldnt call BlueMoon a glory hunter tbh! it doesnt matter if he doesnt even live in manchester(dont know!), but going to 182 games in the space of what ever was said, 5 years was it?!
Mm i hate glory supporters.
P.S Im now City fan..........:P
It annoys me when im having a conversation with some one that like me that are from and live in Grays ask me.
What team do you support?
I answer back by saying Grays.
They then reply with " Don't you support a real team?"
They then go on to say. "I am the biggest Chelsea fan you would ever meet. Ive been to like four games in a row."
And they still wonder why I just laugh at them
Excuse me?!?! You make a comment on Manchester City fans without even having a one of our fans views of Glory Hunters? A Glory Hunter, is a person who supports a football team just because they win a lot. But if that person goes to the football games quite a lot, then they are not a Glory Hunter.
So don't make comments on our fans without having one of our views, because you are wrong!!!
Exactly what I think too. I know 2 people who supported United three years ago, and now support Chelsea as they won the league. They probably will support Arsenal/United next season.
I have the same reason as both of you and im a BLUEMOON FAN!!! You're extremly rude as you make us fans seam as if we are dumb and hate you for the hell of it? :@
Dude, I already told you the crap I have to put up with to get to an Arsenal game.
I hate glory hunters. I suppport Norwich (local) but like to see Man Utd do well.
Hate it when people take the mick out of me at school for supporting Norwich rather than Chelsea, Liverpool etc when they are born in the same place as me..
I've been a Manchester City fan since I was born. My dad made me a junior blue on the day I was born, so I would be an official Manchester City fan and get some kiddy Manchester City magazines with some news/games/events for Manchester City. They stopped the junior blue's when Maine Road was demolished.
I live in the West Midlands, so it takes me 2 hours - 2 hours 30 minutes every day to get to a game. I've been going for the last seven years and got a season ticket in 2004 when we moved to the City Of Manchester Stadium. I remember a Manchester United Glory Hunter. He supported Manchester United, and had never seen a game of any football lol. He said to me the day before our rival match (I went) and said, "Manchester United are going to kick your butts and your going to lose like 5-0". I went to the game and we won 3-1. He didn't go to school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday... lol.
My family have been supporting Liverpool for years. I live in Cheshire - which is in the North West so I live like 30mins-1hr in a car away from Liverpool, so I think I'm not a glory hunter and if anyone called me one I'd be annoyed.
I've been to around 150 games in the last 5 years?
95 League games.
15-25 Cup Games
20-30 Away Games
So thats about 130-150 league games... and I don't go to that many away games, so he could have gone to 182 games in the last 5 years :) (Cup games includes UEFA)
Please not this you have to live within XX miles of Old trafford to be a supporter discussion again
you admire all loyal supporters? how can you say that when you supported united and stopped supporting them? its ******* ******** mate.
i was probably born before this kid and started supporting them before him. he probably was a glory supporter and was ashamed of it so he supported a local side because his mates were ripping him irl.
Technically it is glory supporting. Thats what I've always called it.
Id say glory supporting is supporting a club because they win when you dont really have any connection to the club whatsoever.
I support liverpool, I was born there, grew up there, and the whole side of my dads family has lived there as far back as I know. When I first got into football, I supported Blackburn because they won the league that year, and then the next year when they dropped down again, I started supporting Liverpool because they were a proper team I could relate to.
