Mac OS X is a million times better than Vista or XP. There is no competition between them. No viruses, no spyware, no crashing, no lag, no errors and no blue screen. Just face it, if it's Windows it sucks and sucks bad. Before you try and say "You don't get the same software for Mac", exactly you get lot better stuff. For example you don't get an Panic software for Windows. Without Panic I wouldn't be able to live. The only thing Windows has that Apple doesn't is users.
If you can't afford a Mac then that's your own fault not the people who can afford quality and performance.

Okay so how come when I attempted to install Vista onto a "VISTA READY" laptop it failed 7 times before it even installed. Then once it was all I got was constant problems involving common software such as Adobe CS3. I even lost all sound as the sound drivers wouldn't work. I ended up having to revert to XP the same day. Where as when I upgraded from Tiger to Leopard it was a 40 minute install and that was it. I could continue on where I left off. Vista is not trying to be like OS/X, what are these comparisons? Half the things Vista and OS/X use have been on Linux for ages or on Windows as plug-ins/hacks like the side bar on the right. You say there's no competition yet you compare the two still. You're a walking bag of contradictions ;)
There is competition, and Vista is winning. Mac OS/X got exploited in a competition through Safari, while Vista came second with an exploit in flash. Linux won because it's safer than both combined "/

Wow, funny, Vista takes a week to optimize before it can run at full speed. Go try it again.
Vista installs in 20 minutes for me, In 40 minutes I am fully up and running with all my programs and drivers installed.
Funny, everything works on Vista for me, any problems I have had is because I am using a 64bit version of it, so I just go and use it on my laptop instead. Even OSX works on my rig!
I haven't met anyone with their head so far up their own *** as you in quite a few months! Congratulations! Now get the hell out of the Technology section if you are just going to troll with useless Macintosh arguments!

Okay Microsoft fan boys, here's a pure fact. Bill Gates was a staff member at Apple who was later fired and stolen ideas and concepts from Apple to create Windows. So if it wasn't for Apple then your operating system would of never of existed. Also when Apple was going bust it was because of bad management, it was infact Steve Jobs who returned to Apple and saved them by creating the iPod. Microsoft had nothing to do with it.
Apple > Microsoft and everyone knows it. Even Windows developers use Mac OS to develop things like widgets and GUIs, just go to a Windows convention and you'll soon see.

The point is mac users are mostly show offs, the people who use them for design work say they're better. They're no better than a windows, you can get the same software almost all the time, there's much more for windows.
Also the depreciation of macs are incredible, a windows will last you a good deal longer too as it isn't as limited as a mac.

Google would never begin a large partnership with anyone, they're friendly with everyone just so they get their own way. If they made tie's with Apple it could halt a Google OS in the future, Google just can't risk chucking away MS Users and limiting it's future.
Hardly anyone has a legal version of Vista Ultimate anyway so it's unfair to include it. It's only $319 for an upgrade anyway, it's much cheaper when you buy or build a computer which is what over 90% of users do.
Also you'll find that mac users always are the type of people who will keep trying to convince you they know best. A science teacher in my school has one and an argument has been going on between him and me for months. He went so far as to glue MAC to my work!Quote:

If it wasn't for the Intel movement a couple of years ago you most likely wouldn't be sitting on a Apple Mac either as they will losing alot of cash, and even due to there "Green Apple" concept they are still overpriced, yes they are good sturdy machines but expensive, considering my PC cost me £667, as with my eMac two-three years ago just topped the £1000 mark, you mentioned the Vista cost as well, yes I have to agree that is it true Vista is alot more expensive, but your blindness overlooked the fact that well OSX is unix, open source, I am sure this is common knowledge as well with Vista, it's obvious to anyone it's not. Ok I have a mac myself and yes I agree they are great machines but you have to remember there are a lot of issues with them, alot of stuff isn't compatible, hence a good reason again they moved to intel, they have good products and have the market sowed up with iPods. You basically need to open your eyes and realise your speaking out your ***, as general I think you have a apple stuck there at this moment in time.
Edit: At the above, the whole Macbook Air was actually a beginning to a new market, if you haven't heard the latest rumors I think you should look them up, the whole concept of the Air was for business men to use on flights etc, however a general user can't really afford it, the business would probably have to fund it, which is what Apple where aiming for.
Apple pwn, Microsoft don't. I winz... It's all jealousy on the Microsoft owners behalf, unless you have a Mac you won't like them as you can't get one. That's all I have to say. Quit being jealous and save up your pocket money to buy one :D
