yes, i think, .gov.uk i think.
i'm sure there was a javascript exploit which allowed you to create any @ e-mails somewhere, and it also allowed you to edit after the . - for example @ac.uk ... through hotmail. i'm sure of it. -.-

Ahh my Mum has a gov.uk e-mail if it's allowed. I think it'll only be uni students (ac.uk) though, after reading through it.
That's a good deal!
If only I was a student! :'( lol
Well, technically I am, and I have my own school e-mail address. I'm in year 10 lol. :D
Syko, you're a student anyway..
I have my own .ac.uk e-mail address, but had to pay £80 for W7, wasn't told why though.
oh we don't have a .ac.uk or any education emails because 'we all use hotmail and other services'
Don't think the principal notices the benefits of having education emails (i.e. this)
My mate shown me this offer the otherday. I am going to get this, but I have a question, do we get a disk? If we have to download this... my internet will die! My download speed sucks.. :(
You get a disk sent to you, Jarkie.
this is sweet, 91% saving i'm sure will benefit many
lucky for me, however, i already have it ;p

How is it all you fr00bs are getting W7? lol
I'm getting Windows 7 Professional sometime this week now, just waiting for the bloke to upload it.
I meant legally ;)
The US site says it is a download, or you pay extra for a disk. I see no reason why we will be any different. The large file size is not really a consideration for people using a further/higher education network – fast download speeds.
If there's anything I've missed while I've been at home, it's the fast downloads...
Yay! :D My college are setting up emails and I'm gonna be testing them, so I'll be able to get this. Woo!
Which bit you saying "What" to? MSDNAA is that MSDN Academic Alliance which can be found at: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/academic/default.aspx and due to whatever course he picked in college he has access to it.
I never disagreed? I just said the choice maybe there like it was with the Microsoft Office 07 Ultimate edition they did with the Ultimate Steal not so long ago. And I think it is right in saying that a large download may not be to everyones cup of tea :P
And you so just shown off your fast speeds, evil :P
I have an ac.uk email from manchester so I could get the £30 thing, but I don't think I could get the MSDNAA access.
Also, we're limited to 10Mbps download and 2Mbps upload, so not massively fast download speeds. However, the latency is epically low so web browsing feels really fast.
GOD I WISH?! I get a max of 2Mbps download and 2MBps upload. its sooo sloooow
Why? Most people have that download speed or better at home these days :S.
Just to confirm, xxx.xxx.sch.uk e-mails DO SEEM TO WORK!!!!
I just did it LOL.

We get to download it on the 22nd October :P
Aww that's not bad then really.
To bad it's upgrade version, I'll somehow have to dual boot my Windows XP legit key... twice. :S lmao.
Since I have no email, I have uploaded a scan/copy of my Student ID. Hopefully they will accept it! Will find out in 1-2 weeks. :]
Just ordered Windows 7 Pro! :)
£30 for the Windows 7 pro and £9 for the CD! :D
-facepalm- Didn't realise you could get Pro for the same price, oh well, the only thing I would use is the XP mode which I can get with Virtual box anyway.
Is it purchased on a one license per computer basis, or can it be installed on 3 (which I think is the max they usually allow?) That's what I'm assuming at least. If not, I'd just buy one of each - Pro for this computer and Home Prem. for whoever and whatever.
Just got the email through on my school email :)
