aren't there wizards on the stone circle outside Varrock? i did try this method but getting talismans aren't common and it takes like fifty kills to obtain another. in a hour, you'd probably get 2 water (20k) and 3 fire (around 12k) or something amongst those figures. unless i'm wrong.Quote:

The Cheap Way:
1-9 air runes (you loose on this if you buy the ess so i recommend mining the rune ess)
For this you will need a air tiara or talisman. i would use a tiara since they cost less and you can have 28 rune ess per inventory.
These first levels will not take long.
9-50 earth runes (you loose money until you can make 2 earth runes per ess (level 26))
so for levels9-26 i would mine the rune ess but at level 26 just but the ess with the money you get from selling the earth runes and air runes. Keep in mind that rune crafting takes a long time and you will have to make about 15k earth runes to get level 9-50.
Fast Way:
This way will cost you about 1.3m to do and you only get about 300k back of it which gives you a good 1m loss.
buy about 1m worth of rune ess from the G.E and an air,fire and body tiara.
Make air runes level 1-14
fire runes 14-20
then body runes 20-50
(if you run out of rune ess just sell the runes you make and but some more. remember you will not get much money from the runes you make.)

I made money getting 1-50 and it didn't take long at all. I don't see how you can loose about 1M on a skill that pretty much always gives profit.
because at lower levels you're spending about 90gp on rune ess and getting an air rune worth about 30?

Has Runescape got better recently? I've played infrequently and last played during the Battle of Lumbridge. I've spent so much money on membership in the past. Should I start playing again?
