It is massive for Apple and iTunes.
The Beatles are far the biggest selling artists in history, and they're only downloadable on iTunes (not counting piracy of course).

It was the right time for music to evolve with the introduction of new technologies and social changes, but the Beatles took the first steps and influenced other bands and the world to take those steps with them.
