I was in a trade city in 07 & some1 said "one sec, I need to check the value on habbox" I said "Whats habbox" they said "its a fansite that does RV's" so i said cool looked at it saw they had like 100+ listners & i was like WOW! i was too scared to apply for HxL because I didn't think I was good enough, so I only used it for RV's
then as I got older I stopped wanting to work for unofficil fansites, went to habbcrazy for a while, then my friend said "Apply for habbox" so I did & hey, I love it :)
Told by my friend to look at the Habbox rare values in school lol. Then I guess from there I discovered there was a forum and registered.
Through the trading system. What makes Habbox popular on Habbo now anyway? I seem to notice that many established members mention the trade system, but you do not really hear of it anymore :/
rare values has sorta been made redundant following the marketplace. i think its mostly big events on the client (like hxss), hxl and hxhd that brings people in nowadays :DQuote:

As my sister played Habbo before me she always told me to use Habbox for rare values, and so I did. Then one day I heard a competition occurring on HxL whilst browsing rares so I tuned in. DJ Melissa was on, and I couldn't hear her Habbo name properly, regardless I stayed for the HxEE and although I began about a week later than everyone else I managed to get 2nd place and unlike some who just stay for events I stayed on the Forum too and I am still here today!
actually yeah, whenever i needed some help with rare values, everyone would always point out habbox but it wasn't until around habbomeadow closed that i joined hxf.Quote:

when I joined habbo in 05 and started to trade and everyone used habbox rare values.
I found out via habbo... when I was looking at the official fansites, I seen habbox.

I stumbled on it when i was looking for somewhere that i could start djing again and went to the habbo fansites and went to it.. After that i was finding out as much as i could playing events and tuning in.. And now look at me.. Head dj. Expert rare valuer. Comp staff and events.. Wow

How I found Habbox: well, when I had no idea what values were worth, I always got ripped off, I can't remember if people said 8.0 and 4.0 back then, but somehow like that that's how I found out about values, like what 1.0 was or whatever people used back then, and so, I asked this person, how do you know all the values for these furniture? And so he told me Habbox, I checked it out and thought it sucked. I used it quickly for values though, then in 2007-2008 habbox got better and looked better (I hope i've got all these years right!) But not to worry, I love habbox now (But really, why so many bugs this year :()
I know I signed up after listening to the radio, which I think was called Habbox Radio at the time (I honestly can't remember :P). As to how I found out about the radio I have know idea.
TBH i found out about habbox thinking it was a retro when i typed the link in, then poof, fansite, I was like hmmm, this looks fun :)
I found habbox because of my friends they told me too tune into it.
First used it in 2004 (when I started out on Habbo) for Rare Values. An irl mate showed it to me. Didn't sign up to the forums until four years ago though. Christ, I feel so old, seven years ago is when I started Habbo and I've been on here for four! :(

I heard about Habbox years and years ago when trading on Habbo. I've only just joined the community yesterday though. Late much?
I actually used an american habbo fansite first, it was by a habbo mod, i'm not sure what it was, maybe something like you-heard or something, he ran it with his brother, anyway, i'm sure they mentioned habbox.
In the Habbo Fansites list. I was looking for a DJ position so i found Habboxlive and there was 50 listeners. I thought this was a very popular fansite so i joined :)
Google :P I think I just googled a question and a thread here come up. I don't even play Habbo hotel anymore.
I don't really remember, it was 7 years ago. :P

i remember going into the hxhd following my friend (lethal) then i became friends with Josh (Wiizzz) Then it all started from there ;D
I believe it I saw it on the Habbo Fansite list. Definitely glad I joined. :)
