get wunderlist guys (y)
Definitely, missing the deadline could've been easily avoided even if it did end up needing to be delegated downwards to a department manager.
The calendar/reminders thing is a good idea. Poor Chris though, by sounds of it, he's going to be talking through the keyhole while matt, sam and laura are locked inside. ;)
Now that a content manager has finally been appointed, there's one less job for AGM to be doing - although they're still in charge of the news department as far as I know.
I don't know why contents brought into it (other than maybe advertising after it's planned and organized), massive fail on community AGM and event managers side from what I can see.
If the community AGM cba doing their job for irl problems (time to resign) then should have specifically told another AGM to deal with it or to get events manager to take care of it, not just ignore it.
Habbo users are massive badge *****s, so this is easy advertising and easy way to get some new users. But instead they sit with their thumbs up their arses doing nothing and failing a deadline apparently every other fansite can easily manage.
Doesn't sound like there was a plan for things to go to
usually i don't care/post in these threads because it's just a fansite at the end of the day, but really poor show not making the deadline. there aren't that many big/seasonal events throughout the year there's really no excuse, that's just being lazy
samanfa feels like she has to do everything herself then makes a big deal about having to do it, there was a fansite event last year and mike asked me and i made a room in an hour for him lol. that was done simply enough
doesn't have to be some top secret project
Sam's been AGM for 3 months, this job was hers
Ah but as she was away there was no one to fall back on really - that's why we'll be prepared for next time :)
on phone xx
"But no-one else could do it!"
Poor excuses for poor work
i cant believe literally nothing was done and that the job wasnt given to some1 else........
like w t f its actually embarrassing wat the hell were u doing. it was the most simple task as well
o k
We get the message
We did a silly
It most definitely will not happen again
What more do you wannntttt
on phone xx
Hey everyone! I just came back now and I'm heading off again for the night so I'll reply then. Just letting you know that I'm not avoiding this thread, I'm just very busy! It's probably nothing to do with me but I was mentioned in the first page even though I knew nothing about this Event :L
I'll reply properly tomorrow and answer any questions directed at me (if there were any) then. :)
That's fine ;) Now I know what happens on our end when it comes to events it shouldn't be too hard to support Sam :)
on phone xx
Could do with some new dress shoes
I posted away last week and the thread in which the event was in was posted in by 3/4 of us, I have a feeling I didn't know everything then as I was unware of using Builder's Club :S?
We missed the deadline and we're not going to let it happen again as my stuff is sorted out and we do have a great team now. However, could someone shed light on Easter planning as only managers and graphics staff should know that it's being planned now.
Not like it's your job to look into such community matters or anything, and yeah of course the real issue is that people have a calendar and know that Easter is soon
Ah thank you.
@FlyingJesus; I know it is, but I needed to post away and I believe the other members of the GM team would do the same in the given situation.
seems like general management are always posted away
such a shame that an opportunity like that has gone to waste
So the events manager knew nothing about the official event in the first place?
Great planning.
If you're posting away for whatever reason surely it's your job to make sure others are aware of something that could potentially increase advertising for habbox and bring some new users in?
Rather just '**** it they can figure it out'
There was a thread in AGM only, and it had been discussed on Skype. The Event Manager knew nothing about it as it isn't an event as such - the idea was (that I knew of), we make an Irish shape in a room and players come in standing on the squares to make that shape then go through the teleport to receive the prize. It wasn't too big of an event that it needed to be delegated. Yeah, we missed out on it, but there are a few others that can also potentially increase advertising for Habbox, just this time we missed a deadline.
Obviously did need to be delegated if you weren't going to be around
So basically what it was, as an event on habbo. The department that comes to mind.. events.
It obviously was too big of an event that it needed to be delegated as you failed to do it.
Sure there's loads others can do to increase advertising, but this was an easy global habbo advertisement that would reach thousands, and you failed to utilize it.
Surely this won't look good to Sulake right now, failing to include this site in a major event when they are currently reassessing what fansites should be official?
I have read about half this thread and don't care for your plethora of internal problems but come on guys get it together. This is meant to be one of the best fansites are you're all flailing about without a clue.
fire her!
