Im sure it only applys to official fansites.

What i said it you couldn't link as they wouldn't allow that they'd make a rule up. I just mean an offsite webpage that allows you to donate to a site not habbo related (not a habbo fansite), no involvement with Habbox but all donations to the known habbo fansite pays for the dedicated server which the non habbo fansite is hosted on which so happens to be where Habbox is hosted for free as courtesy of the dedicated owner.
Example: i buy dedicated server (not me but this is an example before anyone bites my head off) then i put a web page that you can donate to which then pays for the dedicated server but i offer nicely to host Habbox for free.
Only problem is giving extras to the members of the forum. That is where it will come down to with Habbo as which ever way you look at it if they get something buy paying for it its classed as a premium service.
I just know for a fact as soon as you use a loop hole they will create a new rule which will stop it.
We need a way to create more money from adverts tbh, get sponsors from a web host must be some webhost out there that will work together with such a big forum.
Speak to teen targeted companies to advertise directly on Habbox.
ps i took the form down on Habbo petition not because of spam but of the bad response from the posts plus i dont want anything to come back on Habbox but im keeping the information and the group open so if you truely believe that Sulake are being out of order maybe you should join it.
The Fansite Way has been updated. Whether you are an Official Fansite or an Unofficial Fansite, you must follow the Fansite Way.
- Charge users for premium services such as VIP access.
At the end of the day, it's our money and we should be allowed to spend it on what we want. If I don't buy VIP, its not like I am going to spend the money on credits...
Its a very bad idea on behalf of Sulake and I do really hope that some legal advice is taken so we can hopefully overcome this :)
This is a great idea and thought I better say so as others have ignored you in this thread for some reason lol
I will explain what can be done and presume its what you are thinking :)
1) Change habboxforum.com to another domain that is aimed at teens and older ;) (stop trying to get rid of us old ones) and general online gaming.
2) when people go to habboxforum.com it goes to a page that says habboxforum.com is no longer a habbo hotel fansite has changed name due to its popularity and is now aimed at teens and alot of online games including habbo. have a link to go to the new site explaining that people will still be registered as before and maybe even a mass email to all members explaining this.
Remember to add the reason for this move would be down to sulakes bullying tactics.
3) remove habbo graphics from the actual skins but i dont think they can do much about them in posts :) if they do ask you to remove them all from the posts say of course we will and just ask them to send links to every post they require removing ;) they will soon realise that will take them forever lol
remove habbo avatars from the site and then its up to members to add their own :) habbo want habbo ones removing they must email the links to each member profile they need changing ;)
4) resign hx.com as official :o the official list was laughed at for years because the biggest and most popular fansite was not on the list :) this will make their list a total joke and waste of time :) we all know the only reason they have it is so they can throw their weight around at teens who do whatever they say.
5) point out the rebranded forum from hx.com explaining although it is a teen forum there is alot of habbo related content including trading etc.
6) alter the graphics forums so there is also options to add other online games alts in their on forums so its not just habbo.
7) add some trading forums alongside habbo trading so its aimed at other games :) you could do this by making the main category online game trading and then a list of subforums opens with runescape, habbo and anything else popular.
8) get the new domain known with alot of other online games to bring in more users who i hope are more mature than the average habbo although it seems most are pretty good on here :)
9) hxf needs to evolve and getting away from mainly habbo would be good :) of course an unofficial hx.com could still point habbos this direction and also get new members from more mature games :)
This would keep most the current members and gain you some more :) it would also make habbos who are getting fed up with habbo realise there are more mature or different game sites out there :) that would take people away from habbo slowly and they will have shot theirselves in their webbed feet with 6 toes on each.
Really silly, honestly its not doing much harm, i'm with the 'start a protest' people!
Habbox could simply say that they were going to remove the rare values unless habbo remove the rule. I think the fansite rules would have to be changed then because the value of rares would increase and people wouldn't buy credits because it would be like 100 credits for a Hc :P
EDIT: Or simply re-word the VIP page so "You can donate £1.50 to Habbox and as a reward you will be put in a special usergroup".
I think just the idea of HxF, one of the largest fansites dedicated to Habbo who has such a huge impact on Habbo is going to change into a general online gaming/teen site, it may reconsider its decision. Imagine the amount of bad press and mockery. But will Habbox.com remain as so? Or only HxF being changed.
