Is it right to fight?

I used to retaliate. But I don't anymore though, got in too much trouble. But sometimes, I have to admit, fighting is the only answer, but not all the time though.

If someone starts a fight, why not finish it?

Not true. I once hit someone 1st as they had been provoking me and making fun of me for almost a year

Yeah that's fair enough but it still doesn't mean if someone hits you can't hit them.

If someone hits you first I think it's fine to hit them back. But if you're instigating and go looking for a fight I think you deserve to have your face knocked in.

If someone attacks you/physically hurts you, then its right to fight back, for protection. Like Jake said if its randomly hitting someone no.

I guess, if someone hit you then it would be okay to hit them back. But, i wouldn't go over the top with loads of punches.

But, i wouldn't go randomly hitting people.

Of course it is right to fight back if someone hits you. If you don't fight back, you are gonna get beat up, so it would be stupid not to. I don't understand why we get in trouble with teachers for fighting back, what do they expect us to do? Let them beat us up?

Of course its right to hit back, if they hit you first.
But I believe its also right to hit somebody first if they are like calling you, provoking you etc.

I was pretty much annoying this lad for like a week straight, slapping his face like every 5 minutes just for fun, but one day he just snapped and punched me one, so I just punched him back, I think I got quite a few though. He ended up with a black eye anyroad, but neither of us told a teacher anyway.
