Are they serious? That is unreal. Many of us have had to trade to get much of the furni for our rooms, so the 10 rooms in the navigator have all cost their owners a fortune in profit given! Those of us who didn't win can reuse all the furni (despite the profit loss :( ), but the 10 owners of rooms in each Group of the navigator wont be able to will they? You might consider the other 9 to be "runners up", but they DID win the country vote, and still have to leave their rooms intact. So they have to leave that stuff in the rooms and are rewarded with some of the crappiest norms out? Pffttt If I were one of the "runners up" I would think twice about leaving the room intact.

They worked hard to make Habbo look good (providing rooms for a new navigator category) and should be better rewarded. Lets face it, if the "runners up" empty their rooms out to reuse the furni, Habbo will look pretty stupid having a Navigator group with 1 winning room and 9 empty rooms in each one. It is Habbo's interests to keep those rooms intact, and with prizes like that ... sorry that's just an insult to everyone. It certainly wont encourage more people to try and create rooms for the comp now.

It is better than nothing, but your room was good enough to represent it's country for this competition, could of at least got some decent norms :p

Also pebblehelb, it was their fault for not having a better room then. eh?
Some people are going to get fantastic prizes!

The people who didn't do so well are going to get prizes which aren't worth so much. Just like stated on the page. So srsly, People will still do the competions because they know they could get the grandprize. People wouldn't stop playing the lottery because they won a runner up prize of £10.

At least you know in advance what the lowest prize is, AND it's a prize worth having!

It does actually cost habbo money, the tv, 3 purple rollers and sunflower cost altogether 22 credits. That's £2.20 worth of furniture someone might of had to buy from credits. That's 2.20 x 72 runners up.

That's about £165.

Srsly, you dont need rare prizes all the time. If they'd of said 'a rare prize to be won' i'd understand. They're being over genorous with the 2 Thrones for every winner prize as it is. They dont need an extra 72 going around.

Once again the rooms were meant to be for fun, the prize was a bonus.

What attitude? They do have a life, they were simply trying to do a good fun competion that gave out some mega prizes, and something for alot of people.. Habbo treat their users fine, just because everyone didnt win a rare. like it was stated that not everyone would win a rare. You're complaining? That's just a pathetic..
I just don't get how you think habbo have to give out rares to make people happy? I'm really confused about the lack of commen desency from some people. Sheesh.

Yesum summed a lot of it up, however I would like to add to what he said.

If someone doesn't want their room on the navigator list because they are unhappy with a small prize that was promised, then how is that a problem? Just remove the room from the list, and find another. There are plenty of entries for each country, so it wouldn't be terribly difficult to find a replacement. Part of the prize is getting your room in that category.

You just don't get it - people complain when they give out too many rares, people complain when they don't get any. Nowhere in the opening text regarding the competition did it mention a rare for the runners up. It said a "selection of Habbo furni", and that you would get your room put on the list. That was the indicated prize, so if you built a room, you did know what you were playing for. As Yesum said, the runner up prize was not the main prize. Having the best prizes after the initial stage encourages people to make their rooms as eye-poppingly brilliant as possible.

Different people have a different opinion on the furni that you got as a prize. You obviously have a negative one; but if you were a themed room designer, I daresay you would find a use for the items. I see nothing wrong wrong with purple rollers? "A selection of Habbo furni" is a very vague comment, so you should have expected anything. If people were not so hung up on being "rich" in a bloody virtual world that could disappear with the click of a few buttons, there would be no problems. IMO, I find it very sad that people wish to be "rich" in this way, and complain when they enter a competition and don't become instantly rich from it. The competitions are there for a bit of fun - treat it like that.

The stated prize was certainly ambiguous, so if you didn't want to get through to the following rounds, then you should have worked with what you had, rather than trading at a loss, having giveaways (Liam), and losing your furni. Then you would have profited. After the initial stage, the better prizes come into play. If you wanted to get to this stage and didn't, the obviously you didn't make your room spectacular enough. It's harsh, but true.

Yesum is correct in talking about materialism (except it's virtual materialism, which is hellish worse). Habbo Staff are far from perfect, but they hardly mistreat their users when it comes to competitions. They provide competitions for fun, and just because you don't get the prize you expect from the competition, you think they are mistreating you? The simple answer is: don't assume things in the future. Habbo Staff are adults, and do work in this "adult working world" you refer to. They are doing fine, and seeing as some of the Habbo and Sulake staff have family and children, I think that supports the fact they are doing fine in the "adult working world".

Sorry if I've repeated myself (it's too early in the morning :'( ), but I would strongly urge you to stop making wild assumptions in the future, when the prize is clearly stated. Lighten up, have fun, and stop being controlled by this need to be "rich". If you want to be rich, get off your backside and go and work for a living, like the Habbo Staff are doing.

No it doesnt' cost habbo money - they don't have to pay £2.20 for each prize. And I hardly think that anyone winning an old tv is going to stop them from putting credits on is it? At best it would mean they have more credits to spend on something else on habbo - so like I said, it hasn't cost habbo anything. Ummm and your math is off .... the prizes actually worked out to 28 credits (you forgot the fridge)

If you both re-read my post, you will see that I haven't said that they should be giving out rares - I just think that they could easily have come up with a way better prize. Admittedly, the rollers were ok, but, for example, why not a yukka or pineapple instead of a sunflower? A digital tv (or even a red tv!) instead of the old brown tv? Or better still, just award the runners up with 28 credits so they can choose their own furni from the catalogue? That would have been fine for a prize.

I'm not complaining because they didn't win rares. My comment about habbo staff and the way they treat users, was a general comment, not specifically directed at the competition. If you were interested, I could give you a long list of problems over the last few months, that habbo staff have failed to address - other than to talk down to people and basically say "tough s**t"

I do create many "theme" rooms, and I can honestly say, hand on heart, I have NEVER needed a sunflower or old brown tv!

Obviously everyone entering hopes to win the main prize(s) - so of course they are going to trade to get the items they need. If you knew anything about creating theme rooms, you would know that you can't just work with what you have, you have to trade to get the necessary furni in most cases - and I doubt anyone created a room hoping to be a runner up!

Actually a friend posted two of my entries on this forum (Switzerland and Romania) - everyone on this forum that replied said they were awesome, and gave my Swiss room 10/10, and my dracula inner room 9/10 (although I didn't think they were that good!)

Like I said, I don't expect them to give rares out to the runners up (tho it would have been nice!), but they could have done a lot better in the prizes they gave - I still say they were an insult.

Despite what you may think, I am not materialistic - I don't give a hoot about "who is worth what" or "how many thrones they have" - I haven't won any prizes, and am not especially bothered by that fact - I just feel bad for those that DID win
