I personally think the EMA is completely unfair. Peoples whose parents are working are basically giving other peoples parents - who perhaps arn't working - money. Therefore, their kids can go out clubbing or buying clothes or whatever, whilst the rest of us have to get a job or something on top of our studies - jeapordising our school work.

I think everyone or no-one should get it to be honest. It just encourages people whose parents don't work to remain unemployed as the state is giving both them and their kids money - and it also encourages the children not to try to get a job as they get the impression they can constantly rely on the state for cash.

Ow yea of course, two fingers to the single parents who have struggled to raise there children for lack of money. Two fingers to the people who can't work. Your naive, just because you can afford to do what you want in life doesn't mean people receiving EMA can too.

Eh no actually. I understand some people may not have qualifications and ultimately not everyone has the same opportunities in life. Likewise, some people may have health issues which prevents them from working etc.

I think cases such as mentioned are absolutely fine, and I understand that people like this need additional aid. Likewise, if say your parents were both capable of working and were but were struggling to support you then I think the EMA is a really helpful tool.

However, for peoples parents who are just too lazy to work - which in this day in age is mainly the case - and simply sponge off the government for benefits without any interest in receiving a job - I get angered.

Think about it from my point of view. My parents may earn more than £30 000 so I do not receive the EMA. However, I have an older brother and my mother is pregnant. Do you honestly think my family can afford everything we want with another child on the way and 2 teenagers? If so, then you are sadly mistaken. I do not get given money any time I want it.

If I want money for clothes, or to go out clubbing I need to earn it by getting a job or something. However, with my A-Levels I cannot afford to do so. So therefore, it irritates me how, peoples whose parents are ultimately too bone idle to get a job, children get £30 a week or whatever for doing the exact same thing as me - yet the majority of them go out and spend it on clothes etc.

If people can't work for a reason such as an illness or a disability or something, they have every right to get money.

The single mums and people who are fully able and well should get a part time job, surely a relative can sort out some childcare, and if the kids are going to school, I'm sure they can get a job then, and they shouldn't get the money.

If you give two fingers to people with illnesses and disabilities, you're one sick person. Two fingers to the people who could find time to work, fine.

My point exactly. I'm fully aware there is circumstances of which people cannot work due to illness or whatever. But for people who just can't be bothered getting out of bed in the morning and would rather take tax payers money aggravates me.
