All the time to my cats. I always go "Hello my fat black cat sitting on a mat!" and I say "Hi smelly welly!!!" and "Hey Millie, you stink like hell." I know it isn't nice but it is amusing. I also say "Hi puss-in-boots, did you know you are very fat and ugly?" I am so kind aren't I? It is just a habit of mine. And then in a reply my cats give me a huge cold stare.

I talk to my dogs, we usualy talk about about the news or social events.

I have a cat and a tortoise, I talk to them all the time. Theres nothing wrong with that! :P
