Grand larceny has nothing to do with lying, grand larceny in the US is theft of property over the value of $200.00 (or over $1000.00 in New York)

Arson is the illegal use of fire and you didn't say anything about a fire earlier. Also 'preliminary arson' means nothing, preliminary just means 'first'.

Thats what I said, it seems they just wanted to make up a bunch of "big" words to scare me into talking.

If you did that in the UK first you'd be locked up, be charged for somethign ridiculous, sent to court and then told by the judge its a waste of time...
