What I would like to see happen, is for certain parts of the forum eg. Graphics and Alterations, the rep you give out should be limited to 15 a day, mainly to rep good alts. But in other areas, eg. Spam, it should be limited to say 3 a day or something along those lines

Agreed, I think that to some degree it's unfair if old accounts that haven't been used for 3 years have a higher rep power than someone registered a year and a half ago with 5k more posts. However, if the owners of those accounts weren't still active, we'd never even see their rep power anyway, so I suppose it wouldn't matter much. I personally like jrh's suggested system, though I think it would have to be something along the lines of 1 rep power per 6 months if you cut out the other methods of getting rep power just to make it more balanced.Quote:
