Stop trying to give it a theme, it doesn't need one, it just needs a name.
I think it'd be perfectly good to name it "Unnamed" as some modern melodrama.

I like it how it is, but I think bonsai's / poinsettas randomnly placed in the bamboo's would have a nice effect. :)
I think the use of furni in the room is really creative however, I dont see the point of the over all theme. The room is lacking a few things here and there but over all its a fantastic room. :)
Some Asian lamps hanging over the pillars ont he top would look cool
