Goldeneye to the xbox live arcade petition

I cant say for a fact it didnt happen which is my point, hence it being a rumour....

Anyway if Nintendo and Microsoft couldnt agree of proceedings why not bring it to 360 AND wii ;). I suppose it could involve nintendo because they used the N64 development kit to make it and remaking the game would obviously defeat the point.

Rare stated there is a possibility that Banjoo Kazooie and Goldeneye may be coming to VC

Yea but bringing Goldeneye to VC will probably bring up the same problem as the 360 version

Nothing will be done unless Microsoft and Nintendo make and agreement, which is unlikly.

Why would it be released on the Xbox Arcade if it was never released on a Microsoft console? Microsoft own Rare, yes, but they didn't when the game was released on the N64. They don't own Goldeneye 007.

It can't be released on one or the other, either both or none.

No, the company is owned by Microsoft, Nintendo must have some rights to the game. It was on Nintendo's console, not Microsoft's. They can't just steal the game away and put it on something else.

That still makes no sense, the game is owned by Rare, they should be allowed to do anything they want because it's their game, it was just released on the N64 because Nintendo owned Rare back then, that shouldn't change anything because Activision own the right to use James Bond 007 in game titles and Rare own the game so I really can't see why Nintendo should have any involvement at all

Yeah, exactly. Nintendo owned Rare back then and they made games for Nintendo. So they can't just take the games they made for Nintendo and put them on a Microsoft console.

Because the games were made for Nintendo, I think that gives Nintendo more rights. Otherwise Rare wouldn't have said this:
