Perfect :) and Mentor posting some views would be good after all the hard work he put in when fighting for the member debates ;)

Well as nvrspk4 explain the department was in its elementary stages when the manager disappeared and we had General Management changes in between which left the department in a state of incompletion but the important thing is that we are aiming to get everything sorted out now. :)
Again the department we in its early stages so there wasn't an Assistant hired. Also as the department is small it isn't really appropraite but we'll attempt to forge together more of a heirachy as we develop the department to avoid future issues like this.
Hopefully we can produce more debates regularly and hopefully make them interesting and worthwhile. :) As I said removing Habbox debates could be considered in the future if future attempts of "offical deabates" fail.
Hopefully we can sort this out by adding more official debates and more interesting ones. However it is being considered as to whether we should merge the forums in the future if the official debates are not posted in or used. We'll see what happens as we go along and make decisions as appropriate.
It would be nice if you could show some examples of where they have been a success over the last 3+ years (tongue in cheek) :o they have mostly failed since they were started give or take a few no matter who has been in charge of them so I think the community support officers :eusa_danc are being given a dead donkey to try and get working.
Debates should be run like the competitions so as soon as one finishes it is replaced :)
Fingers crossed it all comes good :D
To be honest I prefer them if they're left open anyway... unless somebody judges who the winner of the debate is.
Mentor quit, his opinion on Habbox is some what negative :P
I completely forgot about HabMate :S I'm the Debates Expert on there lol! What I do is let people post openly on whatever subject, and there's a thread in there where people can discuss good debates and whether they're too one sided and so on. I can't remember what procedure I had for the end of the debates though. Oh wait! When the debating had stopped for a month, I closed them and put a summary of what was debated, who said what and gave a conclusion. That seemed to of worked :)
I should think you could have a forum mod specialising in debates or maybe even a role as 'debates co-ordinator' or something of the likes. I know a lot of people who love to get their teeth in big juicy and at times controversial debates. Tbh, all they need is a bit more vigilance and they'll be on the right track, with constructive topics to really get your teeth into.
