I think the grey is the nicest out of all. There's something missing though, it doesnt really grasp me. Maybe try adding more effects to the top of each letter and bunch them closer together (reduce letter spacing)?
Other than that I have no other suggestions. It's an OK logo :)!
And oh yeah, "just looks like some text with a gradient to me..."
