I don't want people to hail me, that is the point.

I want people to learn. If you wanted to learn how to play football better, and really wanted to improve yourself.. and David Beckham, or anyone else for that matter, kept telling you how crap you were.. and telling you that you never would make it..

It would make you want to work harder, it would make you want to improve yourself, so that next time.. that person can see that you're really wanting to improve yourself.. and really wanting to make an effort to try and learn.

That's the same way it is with me. I've praised numerous people, numerous times, if I see an effort, I'll be the nicest helper to you that I can.

That's just the way I do it.

I agree with everything you've said but what I am saying is, there is a 'kinder' way to tell someone they're rubbish at something isn't there?

Yes there is, there are numerous kinder ways to do it, but I'm not kind.

Same with Simon Cowell, he does the same thing.

You could sum up dentafrice's way of helping as "tough love". Dentafrice doesn't normally insult anyone if they have common sense, I get just as annoyed if you find someone asking for help when if they took the time to debug it, and maybe google a little bit then they could have solved the issue themselves.

However, lets not get caught up on blaming people for the death of this section. The death of the section is more down to the other sections of these forums (yano, the habbo based stuff), people come down with their habbo sites, small scripts etc. and get really cocky... and then the other "habboers" come down and praise the thread. Makes putting effort in to make better scripts seem pointless, because people praise the most rediculous of things.

Plus the "habboers" come to their friends rescue, and pretty much call us (the ones who actually know something) stupid, because we criticize their precious little work or projects.. that everyone in this section knows is crap.. but to the "habboers" it's the most amazing thing since sliced bread.

Exactly, we need like a minimum knowledge question to enter the section ^_^ like a php function and get people to write in what it would echo out/do. I kid, I kid.

Just needs more moderation and... motivation.

What you expect though Source, these noobs have tons of fellow noobs following their noob website getting praise like "omgs, dats pro" and when someone says "no, its ****" they start acting cocky cause they _think_ its better and again _think_ they're better than anyone.

Thats what you expect from **** who make sites using all these ******* free layouts and get their bloody ******ed habbo gfs following them giving them praise which isnt really theirs.

To be honest, I think users in this section should get a warning before coming here, and I think the way people treat these ******ed **** tards is totally acceptable because if they think they can come here, and be the best in this zone, they need to be hit off their high horse, and back onto their 1 legged bar stool, ****.

Wow, that's the most incoherent torrent of abuse that still made sense to me. I feel I shoud reward you some way.

This place has been dead for over a year, lots of people left because there wasn’t anything here for them, the main reason I stopped posting here is because every time I posted something all I got was either, comments saying 'yay that’s amassing', or, 'Jesus that sucks', neither help at all. As well as that you would always get someone having a got at you over the smallest things possible.

Tbh I think if this places was to become what it once was then we need to have a say on what happens in this section, there’s tons of sub forms what are hardly touched and really not needed which makes the place look even less active then it actually is. A site created by people from here for people from here dedicated to web design and development would be pretty cool but all the previous attempts have failed.
