I managed to save up nigh on 6k for my car, but only because I got part of my wages put into a different account.. I'd be terrible at it if I had to keep it aside.
Erm, a while ago I put money in the bank to just accumulate on it's own so there was about £1500 when I put it in. But I don't have a job atm so I'm not making any money just spending it :/ that aside I'm actually quite a good saver I've got about £900 available split between the bank and just lying around as well as £99.20 in silver coins :P
I can save up quiet a bit, then I normally accidently blow it in one go.
I use to do the exact same. I'd save up my weekly pocket money for a few weeks, friend rings "wanna go to the cinema then bowling and laser quest?" all blown. I've done that so many times though.Quote:

not really. i have like 60 quid atm, and i don't like money just sitting there it's like i have to spend it. but if i did save it up to a few hundred or whatever i'd probably want to blow it all. i really should start saving properly though.
