I'd still have Beckham for the deadball situations and for crossing. Maybe a last 20 minutes sub kind of player.

If everyone was fit, I'd say do a 4-5-1 with:
Almunia (GK)
Johnson (RB), Terry (CB), Ferdinand (CB), A.Cole (LB)
Beckham (RM), Gerrard (CM), Hargreaves (CDM), Lampard (CM), J.Cole (LM)
Rooney (S)
That would be my first team if everyone was fit. Then there is potential with Owen, Carrick, Barry, Young, S.W.P, Lescott e/c/t for change but then some players don't work well together so yeah.
at least he's putting his country over his club in a bid to go to the world cup, he's passionate for his country which is more than can be said forgerrarda lot of players.

Aw didn't read that, Shame as all England are missing is a decent Keeper. Fair point though, he is Spanish really so yeah.
I can't believe England have come to the point where Almunia is their best goalie.
Garient, I wish Wayne Henessey was English. haha.
The one thing i don't understand is, how hasn't shay given been called up to the England team all these years, he's one of the best in the pl.
Wonder which idiot will fall for it.
*hopes to God that was sarcasm*
