Read it on The Sun website after searching Google for what on earth Buckfast was :S It's horrible, how any pathetic human being can do that is beyond me. It's not justified revenge, it's disgusting. Thankfully the poor thing got put down by the SPCA. Pick on someone or something your own size, should be the message put to these horrible people :/

It's probably just cos its feet were most exposed so they started hurting first so it gnawed them off.
