it isn't labours fault
its our fault (our being society)
alot of noobs vote in the ones who wont do spending cuts and are like "benefits for all" otherwise they wont be voted in. Then theyre too scared to do cuts which piles up and up.

Okay right so the Daily Mail are saying that Labour have left the country in 2 trillion pounds worth of debt, well may I just ask that when the Tories came out of power before Labour came in how much debt did they leave us in? They certainly did not leave the country in a stable position either.
Thats what annoys me about both of these parties, they spend too much time ******** and moaning about one another (just look at the election) and they just love telling us how much the other party has done wrong. It's like listening to children trying to compete with eachother.
How about they man the **** up and try and sort out this mess that they've each claimed to get to try and get us out of countless amount of times. No wonder this years election was a hung parliament, as the public obviously have dwindling faith in either of the two parties.
Furthermore I know it's not something you can sort out over night, which begs the question will it ever go away? even with all these amazing promises they seem to give us?
Oh and I really can see how Liam Byrne left a note saying 'Dear Chief Secretary, I'm afraid to tell you there is no money. Kind regards and good luck!'
Do the Daily Mail really think we're all morons?.....Oh wait, don't answer that.
Labour do not believe in cuts, they believe in spending what you do not have which makes as much sense as their economic policy which was 'spend more money (which we dont have) to get yourself out of debt - in short that basically means they wanted to spend their way out of debt and anyone with a grasp of common sense would see the gaping flaw in that plan.
The Conservatives did not leave a pile of debt worth over £2 trillion when they left office, infact quite the opposite as it is well known that John Major and his Conservative government left the country with good finances when they left office in 1997. The same occured in the 1970s with Labour and it got so bad we had to go with cap in hand to the IMF to bail us out because we were broken as a country, both financially and socially with unrest being caused by the thuggish socialists who wanted more and more power through the unions which were demanding, weekly, that the government pledge to fund pay rises/schemes it could not afford and thus turned to debt to survive.Quote:

Exactly, they are only reporting that Liam Byrne did that and this is done by word of mouth, I'm pretty sure that reporter was not there when they found this so called note, and lets remember here The Daily Mail is a tory paper and is often seen to be taken with a pinch of salt, like many papers.
At the end of the day just because this is your opinion it doesn't make it right, and just because you disagree with my opinion it doesn't make what Im saying wrong. Everyone has a different view on politics which is why there are different parties. Just because the tories may provide for you does not mean they provide for everyone else. I know plenty of people in which the years of Thatcher almost ruined them, and in their opinion brought this country to its knees.
People keep voting Labour into power because they are right for them. Furthermore if the tories are such an amazing party why did they not win this election with flying colours and have to pretty much grovel to the lib dems to have a coalition with them!? because people have as much faith in the Labour party as they do the Conservatives. Neither party has managed to pull this country out of financial problems, and they probably never will do. If everyone really wanted this so called change, someone completely new should have been voted in instead of having the same two go round and round making the same old mistakes.
The Thatcher years improved the entire countries wealth by a large margin with hundreds of businesses being registered everyday, the only people who really lost out under Thatcher as a group were the heavy industry workforce (which were making a loss anyway), the bloated public sector with its non-jobs and the lazy layabouts dependent on the state and its welfare. The country was not brought to its knees under Thatcher so you really do need to re-examine what people are saying to you - infact Thatcher was so successful that Labour actually copied her economic policy (with the exception that Labour spent what they did not have hence why we have ended up with a debt of over £2 trillion). I am not questioning your right to an opinion, I am merely challenging the opinon itself.
The Conservatives were not voted to office this time because they are not conservative and its as simple as that really. The Conservative Party has historically pulled this country out of the financial disasters Labour created (see 1979 for more information) and that is indisputable if you take a look at history and the economic policy. The Daily Mail may be a conservative paper (as are most best selling papers) but unlike the Daily Mirror it actually often critcises the party it officaly supports whereas the Daily Mirror would still support Labour tommorow if the country was on fire. Liam Byrne did say that as he wrote it down on a note and left it on the desk at the Treasury - David Laws (Liberal Democrat) then published it to the media and Liam Byrne was forced to defend his silly little snide joke much to the embaraessment of the Labour Party.
Oh deary me, where shall we start?. This is the classic dilusional labour party support who actually thinks thatcher brought this country to its knees. Sorry but your 31 years too late and if you looked at the facts and the events leading up to the 1979 election you will see that the LABOUR party brought this country to its knees in the winter of discontent (google it) therefore your opinion is not valid.
Granted, the conservatives did not win an outright victory but they gained nearly 100 seats, whilst the other two main partys LOST seats. Therefore you can NOT say they lost the election as they clearly did not. What are you drabbling onabout with groveling the the lib dems?. The conservatives could of formed a government without them so they clearly did not grovel and you will see that it was the labour party who tried to cohurst the lib dems into a rainbow alliance simply because they could not accept defeat and wanted to hold on to power for as long as possible (it wouldnt of surprised me if gordon brown superglued himself to the door of Number 10).
People do NOT have any faith what so ever in the labour party and any person who had basic maths and observational skills could see this. LABOUR lost ALOT of seats in the general elections which PROVES people have lost faith in them (i dont know why they had faith in the first place) and therefore LOST the general election. If people had faith they would still be in power but thankfully they are not.
Please look at the facts and you will see that LABOUR has caused this country financial problems throughout history. First in the 1970's and now in the present day. Who was it that fixed the mess they left behind?. It was a Conservative government that cleaned it up and made this country prosper but low and behold they have to do it yet AGAIN. The Conservatives left government in 1997 with one the best debt records this country ahs ever seen, and now look it.
