I would be tempted to learn Mandarin.
Japanese, just because it looks so complicated, and they don't even use words; just symbols and pictures, would be really cool to understand it.
oh god would have to be something supremely cool. maybe Swahili.
Mandarin or Cantonese - can't remember which but I believe one of the Chinese languages is expected to be as widely used as English in the future so it would be a handy tool to posses. If this was an actual real question so you could acquire the dialect of any language in the world, most of the European ones (French, Spanish, Italian etc) would be a waste because all you have to do is move there for a while and you'll pick any of them up after a few weeks.
I'd go for Mandarin Chinese, too. Most current and, as said above, is one of the most widely used.
French because then I would get a good GCSE next year ;) + French has things similar to other countries which means it would be easier to learn Spanish or something.
Unsure to be honest, I've always quite liked Arabic, it's very widely spoken in the Middle East and North Africa. I think if you were fluent in English & French though that'd be enough to communicate with most people in the world, most speak English or French as a second language. I'd be tempted by Mandarin but many Chinese speak good English from what I hear.
