Also, Nintendo would lose money if GoldenEye became a multi-platform game. Most console owners who have a Wii also own a PS3 or an Xbox 360. If the game was released on all consoles people would be more inclined to buy it for their other systems rather than the Wii due to its awkward controller and inferior graphics. A lot of people would also just casually pick up the game if it sounded interesting and was available for their system. Even if Nintendo made some kind of deal with Microsoft and Sony (which they won't because Nintendo are neither the publishers nor the developers of the game), they would not receive a substantial share of the profits. The game would sell best on PS3 and Xbox and Sony and Microsoft would make the most money, not Nintendo.

Indeed. The deal wasn't to have it on Wii either, it was to have it exclusively on the Xbox with Nintendo receiving a share of the profit that the game generated. It would just pull people away from the Wii in my opinion :)

Oh, we're talking about the original GoldenEye here? My post was concerning the new one. :P Nevertheless, its pretty much the same situation either way.

A mix of both ;). I'm personally looking forward to Goldeneye on Wii although I still remain sceptical :)

I have very high hopes sinces its Eurocom who are making the game. They made Nightfire for the last generation of consoles, which I feel is one of the most enjoyable multiplayer games ever. Lets hope they work their magic into GoldenEye.

I agree, Nightfire was brilliant, especially on explosives 1 or 2. Still I'm trying not to get my hopes up cause I love GoldenEye so so much ;D

Yeah, Nightfire really captured the spirit of the original GoldenEye whilst also bringing along something new. Theres nothing like a night in with your friends, playing a bit of multiplayer on Nightfire against the maximum amount of hardest bots in the game. I personally loved dominating the game by sniping people from the roof of one of the buildings on Skyrail. :8 There were some weird glitches on that map. I put Wai Lin on the opposing team and since I always put the game at the maximum amount of kills needed to win it always went on forever. After about three quarters of the way through I noticed I hadn't seen her in ages and so went and found her by using the little radar map thing. Turns out she had somehow climbed the mountain surrounding one of the paths between the buildings. She had gotten as high as the map allowed by constantly running against the wall. I tried to do the same for like 10 minutes but it was just impossible. In the end I sniped her down. If the multiplayer in the new GoldenEye is anything like it was in Nightfire but online that would be absolutely amazing.
