Totally agree, whilst I'm strongly against the death penalty. When people talk about an eye-for-an-eye I can at least see where they're coming from but some petty thieves being hung is just outrageous by all accounts.Quote:

The point I was making is that throughout history the extremely rich have needed bodyguards and security, it's not something which has come about recently like Dan implied. I can assure you Henry VIII most definitely did have a few bodyguards if that settles anything :P

To be fair I don't think many people would or even should have a body guard walking from their car to the building they own, regardless of their status. (That's my personal opinion, please don't reply with some massive essay about how they should etc). Most normal people with any morals wouldn't attack an 80 year old man. But then again I guess that's the Britain we live in now. Wasn't an old woman aged like 90 killed this year when she was mugged for literally pounds and left to die in the street?
