Yeah, starting the home stretch is always a pain. The only other skill I've actually leveled above 90 was Fletching on my old acc, and the xp rates were definitely much higher with mage longs than alching xD
Not to mention less clicking involved. I can't even imagine how long it would take to cap some of the skills that require a huge time investment (Slayer for example)
Mage was actually the quickest 99 for me because I stun-alched and was getting around 150k xp/h but still getting to 92 was a pain. Now 99 Mining was a real pain in the ass, and Slayer is even worse god knows how I'm gonna get that.
Yeah, I can see mining being a pain. There's quite a lot of skills that're pretty quick if you have the gold to blow on them, but I've always tried to pinch pennies when I can. For the most part, most of my time in-game is actually spent trying to farm gold, but I can never let go of it =/

Grats. If you're getting bored of alching and you've got the cash then just burst rock lobsters which gives around 180-200k exp/hr and you get about 200+ crims per hour too.
I'd like to, but I'm dreading getting theiving and firemaking up for DT. I tend to get distracted from finishing my goals for a while when I start leveling other skills.
fm and thieving are like the two easiest skills lmao
I think fletching and cooking both beat them out :P
Finished off FM, probably going to get thieving done & go do the quest quick for a change of pace. Also got 92 this morning. Sadly, my gloves are gone now :(
How much exp did your gloves get you in the end?
I would say that the 500k cap seems accurate. I'm guessing it's 10 hours of use OR 500k, whichever comes first.
