shy or outgoing?

Shy, used to be so shy in like year 1+2 that I wouldn't talk! I'm getting more confident now but I'm still really shy around new people or like older people. Although in my group I'm like the loudest one singing and dancing and whatnot, once I know people well and like them I don't shut up :P Getting better at public speaking too

then people mistake me for being very/over confident

if i don't know the person at all then i find it hard to get a convosation going but after a few drinks i'll talk to anyone lol

I'd say that I definitely used to be shy but I've become a lot more outgoing recently.

i'm quite shy with people i've never spoke to before and i find it really hard to start a conversation with someone if i don't feel we have anything in common. like i said in another thread, i prefer sticking with certain friends and i'll try my best to avoid making conversations with someone who i don't like or i've never spoke to before (unless they look like someone who i would be friends with). so yeah, i guess i'm the same as quite a few people in this thread. the more i know someone the more outgoing i am.

outgoing i guess. i'm actually a gregarious person irl but i always suck in starting a conversation. im always waiting for somebody to talk to me but i really like making new friends. it's fun and that feeling is just great but i guess im still not confident enough.

In the middle reallyyy. I'm really shy with new people and probably would avoid conversation unless I found we had something in common. When I get to know people I usually will just act happy and talkative, that's what they'd want really. I don't try to meet new friends yet (seems silly really with the amount I complain about my current 'friends :rolleyes:) but I think I'll work on my confidence in the future so I'm able to get to meet new people that may actually like the real me. I avoid big social gatherings because I know I'd be a mess and end up not talking at all, so yeah, I guess I'm more shy in most circumstances. :P
