Because it's supposed to be hard. If you have 60 mage you should be able to survive a few PKers.

i made it (to the shop) loads of times at lvl 50

OR leave everything in the bank except a sword rune the the shop under ground - access your bank get the stuff you need out and then enter the arena :)

:p i never go into the wildy. its so pointless

People can now take weapons and armour in now.. So if someone sees you from the outside they can just enter without banking. And if they take armour.. It will be much easier to kill someone inside the arena.
