i'd say more negatively than anything. honestly. like irl i've never been bullied for my appearance other than for being skinny while people on here have called me fat, made fun of an illness i had while people irl were supportive over it and at one point being bullied for being flat chested (lol). made me aware of my 'imperfections' that id have never been aware of if it wasn't for people on this forum or habbo. thanks for that guys :/
truth is, the internet is a far more horrible place than real life is even though people think it's the opposite way. and i know people would be like "don't let anyone on the internet get you down" but end of the day its a place i spend most my days on for the past 5 years so it does have some effect.
ANYWAY. good things? um... probably allowed me free expression and a place to put into words all my thoughts that come out jumbled when spoken. + knowing other people feel the same and agree with me. i guess its 'changed' me because made me realize the kind of direction i want to go in life so yea...
ALSO CHANGED MY LIFE COZ IT TAUGHT ME HOW TO DISTINGUISH YOUR AND YOU'RE SO I DON'T LOOK AN IDIOT IRL THANKS. kinda goes for all grammar as you get picked on for having poor grammar on here so you're kind of forced to write well. thanks habbox.
YOU FORGOT TO MENTION THAT YOU'D OF NEVER OF MET ME WITHOUT HABBOX!?!??!
anyways it's been good and bad, bad that i feel i've to keep a secret from my friends irl but good in that i can say things that i don't think my rl friends would quite get/understand but that online people would. like jen said, i experience a lot more negativity here than i do irl. for me, nobody ever says anything bad about me and i never get the flat chested thing irl while people here seem to have exhausted it.... also i get called a ***** etc here when people in real life tell me that i'm an INCREDIBLY NICE PERSON
habbox is definitely a good thing in my life, and affected it more positively than negatively. DUNNO WHAT I'D DO WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO VENT TO YOU GUYS and obv i've made some nice friendships etc, dunno what i'd do without my @sex;

Absently
i think for me, the main point is that it changed my life greatly in the fact that i've met who i'm currently with and they've made me so happy as cheesy as it is!! although, yeh i've become a lot more insecure about things on here, lots of people love to pick out my flaws that i've never noticed but now do. so in that way it's affected me in the way that i feel pretty awful about certain parts of me ahah :P

I'm not quite sure what my life would be If I didn't spend this amount of time on Habbox. But I have met some great people thanks to this place, although the people I do talk to like nearly every day don't often use this site anymore which is a shame but we still keep in contact via skype, twitter and phone wise. If it wasn't for them then I don't know to be honest. They have always been there for me and stuff so it's a win win in that situation. So thanks to Habbox, I have made those friendships possible.
So yeah it's been good. There is some bad things about Habbox - Especially the odd and dodgey characters over the years. Oh and that some people do like complaining for the sake of complaining but we won't lose any sleep any time soon over it.

Positively.
I never really felt a part of an online community until I joined Habbox. I don't really fit in with the usual nerdy gaming crowds, but this place is more about its members than Habbo. It's the only forum I go on.
Plus now that I'm older I kind of feel like a farther figure to the young'uns :P

what i find weird is that although i had been quite active back in the day, i never really got to know people on this forum, with a couple of exceptions. not sure when i was younger i was really that into stuff everyone else was on here (with exception of some of the music) haha. i remember some people had meet ups and stuff (some people met in london if im not mistaken?). one thing that is completely clear is that i'm not sure the community will develop much anymore.
like i said last month, the owner of this forum hasn't logged into this forum in years haha.

Idk really
Negatively as it made me kinda immature and act like a ***** as you know you can say stuff without consequences (likes of fights not warning/bans etc) and it killed social life (well more habbo than habbox, then other games).
Positively as obviously I found someone (hello @buttons; ), and obv people to play and beat at games (hello @Richie; @Clumping; @dbgtz; @The Don; @CrazyLemurs; and anyone else) to pass time :P gave me a place to cure my boredom and community to play games with and have fun on habboz hotelz.. errrrrr idk what else its 2.33am i cba thinking much.
Come to think of it i'd say way more positively due to the first bit ^

It's vastly improved my English skills, debating skills and has kept my feet to the fire so to speak.
I suppose i've also learnt in staff how bitter and petty workplace politics are, which I suppose will be useful in the future.
