Absolutely, no other nation in world history has given as much to the world than Britain has - I would argue we even surpassed the Roman Empire in terms of influence and importance in the grand scheme of things. That said, how the mighty have fallen in the past century.
But i'm quite patriotic yeah - I fly a 5 by 3 Union Flag from a 20ft pole in the back garden, have the flag in my room too ... and I know broadly some of the versus from Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and God Save the Queen. British overall - with a slight tinge of Englishness thrown in.
They don't call us great for nothing.
