Mum used to try the naughty step thing but we apparently liked it for some reason like "stop that do you want to sit on the naughty step" "YES PLEASE" which was somewhat exasperating for her I suppose. Other than that just a simple bash in the face with a hot frying pan would do the trick nah don't think we ever got hit anywhere but the arris. I've only been grounded once and that was when I told my sister she was had whiskers and she cried idk
Depends on what we did. Stole something? Hit on both palms with clothing hanger. Just being generally naughty? Hit on the bottoms with either clothing hanger or belt or sometimes made to kneel on beans or salt.

When I was younger they smacked me.
When I got older they couldn't discipline me, nothing they threatened would work (because I wanted to leave) and they wouldn't hit me anymore.

my mum would take her slipper off of her foot and chase me upstairs with it and sometimes lock me in the cellar which made me upset but my dad used to make me bend over on his knee and he would whip me with his belt when he came home from work
