Would you kill an innocent person to...

i don't know. what's worse for you, the guilt of killing a random person or the guilt of not saving people you love when you could have? i'd probably say the second one for me personally.

1) no i would not kill another person to save my life, i wouldn't be living much of a life after that and would probs take my own anyway

Also why is whether or not they're "innocent" so important? What would u define as innocent? Surely no one is truly innocent, we've all done something wrong in life? Why do you value the lives of the "innocent" above those who are "guilty"? Does a crime such as theft make you less of a human than someone who has not stolen something?

By innocent I mean they aren't the reason that you need to make such a terrible decision and are just as innocent (or guilty) as an every day person. And no, when I say guilty I mean something beyond theft, something truly terrible and evil.

Like murder? Does choosing to kill a random person not count as murder? At the very least it would be class 1 manslaughter. Does that not mean you could then be added to the list of 'evil' and 'guilty' people for others to kill off to save a member of their family/a friend/themselves?

The idea of the thread is simple: Would you do the questions 1-4 to an innocent person that is not deserving in death and has never committed a crime that is of pure evil. In other words, kill someone that's just the 'every day Joe' as the saying goes.

Sure, you'd end up being classed as a murderer yourself (maybe or maybe not depending on which question, could be manslaughter depending on some views) if you did it, that's the whole point of asking this moral question.

I think if you're willing to kill a stranger for your own benefit, you should have to accept that you could also be killed by someone else for the same reason

The problem is I believe every life has equal importance; whether you're the President of the USA, a binman, a murderer or a schoolteacher :P Therefore whether or not a person is 'innocent' is irrelevant to me.

If I have no say in the matter then it just cements my original answer. I have to assume that most people are going to save themselves over a stranger and so do so myself. Not many people would give up their life or their family/friends life so you could live yours and when it is measured as 10 v 1 a lot of people are sure as hell going to choose to save 10 ppl if only to reduce their guilt.

Well that's your own opinion and I understand why you think that way, but nevertheless it is about killing an innocent person (meaning as I previously explained). If you see it as the exact same thing no matter who it is, just answer the same way as there's no difference between the two in your opinion anyway.
