They Bought Macromedia and its name and have kept the company name going as a sub company of adobe.

1. Macromedia redirects to adobe.com
2. "Download Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash Player" NOT "Download Macromedia Reader and Macromedia Flash Player"

Maybe they just kept macromedia on dreamweaver until they get fully "settled" in as adobe

Lol, Perhaps they are renaming some products but not others considering Macromedia Studio 8 was released not Adobe Studio 8 .

Items Like Firefox will remain macromedia Named. aslong with dreamweaver to change the name would only confuss business.

they can release multible products under different names.

Photoshop and Fireworks were rivels now they own the same but have kept different brand names
