Dunno, Hayden cut her hair short and I think that makes her look older. She's 19 and Claire is meant to be 17, perhaps that is why.

she always looks like 30 or something even tho she is 19.

Oh and i think it may be that her hair is naturally really curly, i saw her in an eppisode of malcolm in the middle and she her hair was a state.
