Basically, everything humans do is for themselves in some way, no matter how much it looks like a sacrifice. Sacrifices are done to make us feel better about ourselves. Check the italic bit for my view on dying for someone that you love, and think about it: what would it achieve? You'd do it because you would feel bad otherwise, proving my point about all humans acts being selfish. Sorry to destroy the concept of morals, but this is truth.

Well, that's what I was trying to sort of say in mine.
I'd rather I had to live with the pain of not having him rather than me dying for him and him having to live, feeling sad and upset.

I would rather lose a g/f, And to the people who would rather die, thats kind of stupid, none of you are old enough to know thats the one your going to marry , most of you are under 17 and have a whole life ahead of your self and your gonna die for another 16-17 year old because you so call ''Love them'' when you dont know what love is its self i mean come on think about it for a second, if someone put a gun to your head and said ill shoot you or beat up your g/f b/f your gonna sy ''well shoot me now'' you wouldnt say that, Unless your in the situation your never gonna know what your gonna say.

No, I wouldn't because if you truely loved this person, you'd care more about this persons happiness, thefore you should be happy that your partener has chose to leave you because then they'll be happy.

Thats why I don't get all these love movies, they obviously didn't love the person in question, and when people kill them selves because there partener leaves them, its pathetic because then you'd be messing this persons life up.

However, if you mean 'If your partener was going to die, would you take there place and die for them?' then yes, I can't stand the thought of Josh being hurt.
