And James bbz. Nobody can bypass your security.
Let's start with the thing that has been bugging me like nothing else in this thread. I assume what was meant by "talks like a Freddo" was that he has a croaky, hoarse, voice - not high, squeaky, and annoying. ^_^
Nkay... there have been many threads about him, and I've made clear my opinions of him in a lot of them, but I'm not going there yet again.
The main topic of the thread, lest we forget, is the security compromises of certain fansites. I would take it for granted that Official Fansites would keep their security top-notch (which includes their staff, who are the main culprit most of the time). Unfortunately, a lot of them don't, and unless the reasons for the site security being compromised was totally beyond their control, the proper punishment for breaking the Fansite Way should be enforced. There will be some circumstances with which site staff have no control over security, but simple things such as site staff letting passwords and usernames slip... not acceptable. At the least, for each compromise such as this, a fansite should get 1 "black mark" - and having 3 would result in removal of the official status.
Edit: I agree with Jamie - the usage of the term "hack" is too widespread nowadays, and I would not consider a radio password leak a "hack". Oh, and LOL@James. Just put a big banner on Remix saying "Y'WANNA HACK ME? BRING IT ON!!!! HACK MEEE!!!!1!!!! TRY IT!" ;P
I agree with this 100%, to an extent :P
All fansites hold personal information on Habbo's and we are dealing with kids. If they are not able to choose a secure webhost or give out passwords willy nilly then they should have zero chance and be removed ASAP. How can sulake allow sites which are not secure to be supported by them for kids to go look at? lol. :P
Great idea.
James
