Because people want to and it's a free place where they should be able to do so without getting criticism from people with nothing better to do.

If you don't think buying rep is a good idea, then don't do it - I'm sure there are people who think that some things you do in real life are pointless. But it doesn't mean that others should be somehow criticised for doing so.

i dont see why people rip the **** out of people who buy rep?
