LOL@ your incorrect assumptions. nate mendel had little to nothing to do with emo as we know it today. just because he was in sunny day real estate (a pioneer of emo, yes, and as a whole way better than foo fighters) doesn't mean he invented it. there were two fronters of sunny day real estate that defined their sound, and nate mendel was not one of them.

Oh god! So like your one of these fools that don't like bands when they hit the mainstream... their old stuff is still the same isn't it? Most of the bands you listen to are way way more commercial then Biffy.
Infact Biffy arn't really that well know tbh.. I mean They did a signing at my local HMV store which is tiny... you don't see MCR Or what not doing that do you? Just because a band has sorta changed doesn't mean they are CRAP! You can still enjoy their old good stuff right? I suppose you hate MCR too?

So I am guessing nate had no input what so ever? He didn't think of any ideas at all? He just sat there and got spoon feed is what you're trying to tell me right? **** the bassist and drummer.. I mean they don't right the melodies right? So they mustn't have no input at all..

and how do you know 'most of the bands' he listens to???

it's someones opinion as to whether they like a bands new stuff.. it just so happens that a lot of bands change for the worse but yeah, this isn't always the case.

there's nothing like someone ignorant like you who makes completely false accusations.

i'd also like to know what all of this has got to do with los campesinos!?

congratulations for utterly failing to put words in my mouth, you look like an idiot. you said that nate mendel (while mentioning no one else) invented emo. you didn't mention that there was a band with him, which leads me to assume that you think one person invented an entire genre. no way to get around that one.

i never said he didn't contribute, but there is no way in hell that you can tell me he had a big voice in the band. if not for dan hoerner and especially jeremy enigk, sunny day real estate would be a completely different band.

@lily. it doesnt have anything to do with them. this guy just doesnt like it when i call his band crap, whereas he has no objections to calling los campesinos! crap.

i dont mind when bands go mainstream. two of my favourite bands, klaxons and hadouken! we're tiny this time last year, and now they're mainstream. i couldn't care less.
and ive like MCR for like 3-4 years now.
and also i dont care about if bands change. linkin park, favourite band ever, new sound is good. not as good as the old sound, but i still listen to it.
perhaps you should think before making assumptions

Ermm mate. I did say band at the beginning and you completely knew what I was talking about, so instead of been a douche and trying to make your self better, "hush". I am sure if Nate wasn't in the band, it wold be completey different.

But you said they got overplayed is what happens really when bands hit mianstream.. trust me, mcr get played way more then biffy, so in future stop causing trouble yeah? Btw the countless times you have decided to whine at me is ... woah.
