I don't listen to alot of what you'd call "hardcore" but some bands you might like:
Glassjaw
Norma Jean
Dillinger Escape Plan
Drop Dead Gorgeous
Parkway Drive
August Burns Red
As Cities Burn (Older stuff is better)
The Bled
Dance Gavin Dance
Every Time I Die
Exit Ten
The Fall of Troy
He is Legend
I Set My Friends On Fire
Lower Definition
Oh Sleeper
Our Last Night
Protest The Hero
That's all I can think of. Taken from my ipod :)
haha shame about the sound system there though, its awful for shows and stuff ;p music is okay though :p £3 a pint in the bar. theres quite a few bands played there actually, dragonforce, megadeath, motorhead etc enter shikari have played in folkestone before though, in a little bar that has now shut down. It was years ago when they first started out :P

CAN I JUST SAY IT IS SO FUNNY AS TO WHAT BANDS PEOPLE CLASS AS 'HARDCORE' THESE DAYS.
paramore are pretty damn bad-ass
omg there's like two good bands in this whole thread :( FATA and Comeback Kid
I still don't get the real appeal of most metal music and especially hardcore, it seems to be scene kids with too much anger who hate authority for... some unknown reason and think they're well political. I'm not just generalising, I've met a lot of these sorts of people (ex gf's mates.. funfunfun) and frankly just the people put me off, let alone the actual music they thought they were making
