You didn't actually go to them places, you stayed there for a couple of hours then got back on the liner. The last holiday we went on was booking a hotel in lido de jeselo (something like that) in italy for 2 weeks, got a ferry to venice and stayed there for 2 days, got the train to rome and stayed there for 2 days, got the train to florence and stayed there for 2 days then went back to lido de jesolo to finish the 2 weeks. Or we could of gone to all them places on a cruise ship and stayed there for a couple of hours for a much better price, no thanks. :)

When me and my parents were having a drink at a bar in venice, we were chatting about how people say they have been to venice but have actually been on a cruise there. We just imagined if we only had a couple of hours in venice and how little of venice we would actually see. To go to a place properly you need to spend some time there. You'll obviously be against everything that I say because (evidently) you're someone that goes on cruises for their holiday.

I went on a cruise once... Oh my god this isn't worth it LOL.
