Depends if they want to take part or not.
I will still be at band rehearsal when it starts. I hope we don't have to play in the dark. :'(
I agree, i think global warming is a load of bull. i watched a programme about it. it said that many people made it so big as it is today to open businesses and get billions. there was also a chart shown about global warming. between the years of ww2, you'd expect them to be high wouldnt you? but they were low.. it was very high at years where there were no vechiles of any sort..
so i believe, global warming is a gigantic pile of bull. Click here and here to read an article which supports me
It is not my opinion that temperatures have not risen in the last 10 years, it is scientific fact.
With that fact in mind, I ask anyone who still believes it; where is this global warming?
Aren't you oh so witty and ontop of the ball; temperatures haven't risen in the past 10 years so tell me where the global warming is. I mean your case would be a tad bit more believeable if the temperature had actually been rising.
I agree to an extent, oil and gas have a long life left though because;
a) many more sites exist out there that we do not yet know of.
b) many sites have been known of but have been uneconomical at the present to exploit.
c) the Falklands and the poles are just two examples of massive reserves still waiting to be explored properly.
d) we only use around 1/3 of an oil reserve because at the present it is uneconomical to get to the other 2/3.
The real reason we, as a country, need to change is because of energy security which is a big threat to the stability of the western world in the future. I and i'm sure anybody else doesnt want to be relying on the French, Russians and the Middle East for our supplies which can be turned off whenever they feel like doing so. Nuclear is the answer.
I never knew what time/day it was so no, I didn't do it. :)
It was epic fail in terms of the number of people doing it.
While I agree with you that global warming is mostly nonsense (I personally believe it's natural). I do agree with looking into renewable and nuclear energy sources though. The fact is, we are running out of coal, oil and gas. The reason it's called uneconomical to get the oil out is because it would cost so much. In 50 years time, chances are they'll still be a 1/3 of oil left, but to extract that it will cost £1000 in fuel to drive to the shops. We'll probably not run out of oil for many hundreds or thousands of years, but it will get to the point in 30-40 years time where it is far too expensive to use and not worth it. Coal will run out even quicker than that.
As for Earth Hour, I poured petrol over greenpeace supporters and set them alight.
i just sat there and turned the light in my room off, does that count
I did it =) But, it lead to me missing a slot :o [pmsia!]
