It means that labour have won that seat, but have lost 16% of the vote in the area. The swing means how many people hav moved towards conservative. Out of the two that have been announced, it's an average swing of 9%ish on two SAFE labour constituencies, and that's a lot. If this is replicated across the country, conservatives will gain a majority government.
Stupid how BNP are getting more votes than UKIP, although as its the North its not too shocking.
Mhm, I guessed the north (with the various general stereotype) would vote BNP, although now I guess they didn't actually bother to vote.
I live in the W Midlands, Wolverhampton South, and loads of people vote BNP round here, not because they're racist, but because they're fed up with the old parties, and fed up of migrants. My dad and my girlfriends mother vote BNP, lots of other people I know also vote BNP.
my girlfriends dad votes BNP. like most BNP supporters, he's very narrow minded and doesn't read too deep into it, he just takes it as face value. i'm working on him for the next election though :P.
Wow, CON just took Kingswood from LAB. Surprise there. Cameron COULD still get the majority!
Yeah Conservatives are still looking okay for a majority, they could do with more to be honest though. I think we'll know how it'll pan out in the next 90 minutes :)
