Lets be honest here, given the current state of the forum I don't think we can afford to pick and choose what threads get posted.
On the contrary, who wants to join a forum where people just post the first letter of their name?

We should probably ask our fansite neighbours the same question. But who wants to join a forum where conversation is limited?

Try? We already did when we removed all the POST YOUR threads. You don't see that forum no more do you? After more feedback. Stop trying to limit the conversation on the forum, it won't do anyone any favours.

Conversation is already limited. We're not debating whether to do it, we're debating the degree to which we do it.

Under your logic all the moderators should be fired as we clearly do not require them to maintain quality as it sacrifices ever so precious quantity.
