Reality Check for YOU!
Arsenal full-team beat you twice this season. You beat Arsenal reserves once with your full team.
You talk about us failing when you are 11th in the league.
Lol @ this arguement, this isnt going to stop as everyone is like
Tottenham are 1337 now
Arsenal are jst Crapp0rz
And Arsenal fans are like
Side B Vs. Full Side? We dont care
See you in the title race? No we wont
And then it carrys on. Why not just leave it? Its the same every year. Well, except beating Arsenal part :)
LMAO shame arsenal.. told u they lose
tbh Fabianski played **** today. Did he make 5 successful saves ?
o well.. haha! they losted am happy..
I have to admit, i wasn't happy.
However, if you like on the bright side we are still flying high in the premiership.
And a record thats still held..
About 12 years since spurs have beaten us at home :P
But it was always going to happen that we would lose to them sometime or another.
Don't you think it is strange how Liverpool and Man Utd fans are all like 5-1 5-1 when they got knocked out before Arsenal. Liverpool fans say they would rather get beat by Chelsea, who played 4 first teamers than Tottenham who played their full-team. Man Utd fans just brag how they are top on goal difference. The only fans who don't care is Chelsea and they can actually brag because they are still in it.
Arsenal fans moaning in here need to learn to lose. You lost 5-1... there are no excuses for that. Who's fault is it for playing the supposed 'second team'?
This line up doesn't look like reserves to me...
21 Fabianski
03 Sagna
31 Hoyte
10 Gallas
30 Traore
13 Hleb
15 Denilson (18 Fabregas )
19 Silva
02 Diaby
32 Walcott
26 Bendtner
Adebayor +Eduardo.
3/4 of them are first teamers or have experience from previous seasons.
Most of the goals resulted from long balls, could arsenal have stopped all of them?
I wasn't making excuses because there were none but that's certainly not our full strength side. No Toure, Van Persie, Rosicky, Flamini, both Eduardo and Adebayor didn't play the first hour or so, no Clichy or Almunia either. It wasn't our best team but I'm not gonna complain because I'd rather Wenger did play mostly the team who got us to the semis in the first place. A loss against Spurs had to come sooner or later and I'd rather the Carling Cup than any other competition.
Was that directed at me? 1. I've never at one point in this thread said "AHAHAHA UTD R TOP LOL LUSERS." I just pointed out that they are top.
2. I don't think that you shouldn't be allowed to brag sometimes. Arsenal have been top for quite awhile so those fans are probably just excited to see Manchester in the top spot. But I do agree that bragging too much grates on even my nerves.
Arsenal dont take the carling cup seriously and only use it as a training tournament for the younger players. Arsene Wenger has said this for a long time. Arsenal have still won it the most times even with our reserves team.
This is spurs only chance to get any silverware for the next 10 years. They maybe wont be playing in Europe next year whereas Arsenal will be.
Its taken them 9 years to beat our reserves team who had an awful game and deserved to get a kicking by any lower opposition team.
Arsenal losing to Spurs 5-1 hahahahaha! One of the best matches i have seen this season, i was laughing at how crap Arsenal were.
haha arsenal = crap
It's a tournament where Fergie played his reserves and lost to Conventry. A tournament where Liverpool played a weak side and lost to Chelsea. The only team that takes it seriously is Chelsea and that's because they have enough squad depth and Roman wants to win everything.
Spurs really depress me. Their official site are releasing an official DVD of the win, and many other products such as shirts and mugs. And Arsenal could of just created a DVD on a decade of domination, FACT: this rivalry is the most one-sided rivalry in the past decade, more than any other in England. I mean, even Baptista and Aliadiere could beat them, why not create a DVD based on that?
Just in case some thought I was joking:
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/shop...=&par=&parsub=
(For the record I don't have much against Tottenham, I just think the DVD is a little tasteless)
Might buy it.
I think they have a right to milk the win.. Arsenal would do the same if they went 10 years without beating their closest rivals. Manchester City would do the same if they thumped United 5-1. Same for Sunderland/West Brom/Southampton/Everton against their main rivals.
If the win was let's say 1-0, then we wouldn't hear much else about it, but 5-1 is not a result you get everyday against your closest rivals, no matter what team they field, doesn't change the fact that they beat Arsenal.
Germany V England has been a pretty one sided contest internationally for years but, when England got that 5-1 win, Tee Shirts, DVD's, Mug's ect were flooded into the shops about it! It's a publicity goldmine teams that beat their superior rivals.
But I agree that it's sad that they have to make a DVD about the win, but does show that Tottenham haven't got much to cheer about, when they're releasing DVD's on beating Arsenal Reserves 5-1.
